Graduate students can earn a Master’s of Counseling in School Counseling or in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in a hybrid setting, with the majority of coursework completed online and occasional in-person meetings in Wilsonville. Graduates of these programs are eligible for a school counseling license by the State of Oregon’s Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) as well as the nationally recognized Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
For those interested in pursuing a career as a clinical supervisor or counselor educator, Oregon State University also offers a hybrid doctoral degree in counseling. Participants in this program, which uses a cohort model to encourage discussion among participants, are often professional counselors. The in-person portions of the program meet near the Portland airport, making access easy for out-of-state students.
