The Teachers College at Ball State University offers a Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Certificate, and Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis. The programs meet the requirements for the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst and Board Certified Behavior Analyst examinations.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program is offered both on campus and online, with the major courses offered solely online. A total of 120 credit hours are needed to complete the program. The major courses include Behavior Analysis Principles, Processes, and Philosophy, Lifespan Development, Exceptional Children and Adults, Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Treatment and Inventions with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Ethical, Professional Practice in Behavior Analysis, Application of Consultation in Applied Behavior Analysis, Advanced Behavior Analysis, and Advanced Interventions for Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis is offered entirely online and it increases students understanding of core concepts and methods used to treat an array of behavior issues. A total of 15 credits are required for completion of the program. The required courses include Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior Consultation, Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis, Ethics in Behavior Analysis, and Verbal Behavior.

The Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis with Emphasis in Autism is offered entirely online. It is a 30-credit program that students can complete in less than two years. The courses are flexible to meet the needs of busy students. Students are able to take one or two courses a semester or more as their schedules permit. The required courses include Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Consultation, Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis, Professional Issues in Applied Behavior Analysis, Introduction to Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Interventions and Treatments for Persons with Autism, Verbal Behavior, and Supervising Human Service Staff in ABA. Students must also complete field-based experience courses.

Online, students can earn an MA in Educational Psychology with a graduate certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis.

About Ball State University

Ball State University is a public postsecondary school residing in Muncie, Indiana. It was founded in 1918 as the Indiana State Normal School Eastern Division. It became Ball Teachers College in 1922 and Ball State Teachers College in 1929 to recognize the generosity by the Ball brothers. It became Ball State University in 1965 to better reflect its growth and offerings. Today, Ball State University is home to more than 22,000 students on its suburban 1,140-acre campus.
